I do not know to much about this organization. I did inquire about why they are supporting to ban hybrid cats on California, and working with Big Cat Rescue, which uses domestic bunnies and feeds the bobcats their rehabiliting. How ADLF and this sanctuary can turn it ignore this abuse, especially when wildlife release specialist do not support this method. How these can blantly ignore this abuse is beyond me, as they say they love animals.

This ban they are supporting is horrid for owners and breeders with young generation. If they are Generation 1-3 and this ban passes, our beloved pets, and members of family, would be legally stolen from us. These beautiful animals would live with in sanctuaries with lions and tigers or be murdered by animal control. If you rescued a hybrid cat, and cannot prove their generation, they will die.

Is mass killing of a breed a act of a animal organization that cares for welfare of these felines? Not from my point of view, then they lie and say that we will not loose our cats, and they will be grandfathered in. That is if you have a older generation!

Any organization that truly cares about animals does not support legislation that kills them or removes them from loving homes. I own two Bengals, so I oppose this ban. I have been called a animal abuser. But this organization is, as is all the sanctuaries, are.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Not support legislation that kills or removes pets from home. Not support sanctuaries that abuse animals!

Our actions are guided by our belief that wildlife belongs in the wild – not interbred with domestic animals for the bemusement and profit for people. Hybrid cats create problems and potential threats to humans and to the environment. One of the main concerns is that, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), there are no known rabies vaccinations for these hybrids. This poses a risk since many hybrid cats are kept as pets in close proximity to humans and other companion animals. And, should these cats escape – and they do, as evidenced by the media and Born Free USA’s Exotics Incident Database - they can easily breed with feral cat colonies and wreak havoc to the eco system. By all accounts, they retain much of their wild instincts and are superior to the domesticated felines in catching their prey. The Audubon Society already has domestic cats on their radar for mass killings of native birds, we would hate to see the hybrid cats get added to that equation. This is proof Carol Baskin is a liar. She claims that this F1 Bengal, is wild, pees everywhere, is hissy, and will not allow Baskin to touch her. Notice in the picture the hybrid cat is in her home, and drapped around her neck. Though this is a low quality Bengal, it is obviously her personal pet. So basically she wants owners and breeders that own F1- F3 hybrid cats to be have their beloved pets confiscated either killed or locked in cages next to lions and tigers. So, Mrs. Baskin that includes your personal pet, also. You want to make these feline illegal, that includes your personal kitty! I am tired of your lies, and how easy they are exposed.

Big Cat Rescue houses many cats, but a broad majority are from her own breeding program. If you search Big Cat Rescue you can find a list of cats she previously bred. Most of the paid employees are from her own family, and their salaries are very generous, as is Baskins. The donations keep her in the grand style she was accustomed to that her second husband kept her in.There are many misguided animal lovers that will fall for her tales of woe, for a abused cat. Most of the time it is exaggerated or a out and out lie. What is Baskin's history? Who truly knows since it changes as often as a women changes shoes. The animals live on a site that used to be a dump, so they are swimming and drinking polluted water. Many of her cats die or suffer of cancer. Also, she has had many violations for fencing, not caring for the amimals properly, and questionable business practices. Right next door to her horses were being slaughtered inhumanely for meat. Their terrified screams could be heard by employees, volunteers, and Baskin herself. They were concerned for the cats they made a bigger and stronger fence, but made the choice not to inform the authorities of the horrors happening next door. There was a giant horse bone grave yard close to the fence. I guess the suffering of other animals is no concern for BCR.

BCR is responsible for legislation that would ban hybrid cats in varying states. Currently, it is California and Florida. As I said earlier this ban is based on opinion, and cannot be collaborated with any factual evidence. This ban would basically kill many beloved pets. It is obvious that Baskin does not believe any of these opinions since she has hybrids splashed all over her Facebook, and owns one as a pet. Not to mention she had a passion for them in the past, and was not successful in breeding. I believe that this is ban is motivated by greed, envy, and the chance for more fame. Also, HSUS and BCR are opening another zoo. Which means more money and attention for her. I truly hope people open their eyes to her evil and deceptions.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Get rid of Baskin and everyone associated with her, and turn BCR to a true animal lover, that actually cared about the animals, not fame or media attention.

Review for Animal Legal Defense Fund, Cotati, CA, USA

Obviously by the many positive posts ALDF and they fight for animal rights and welfare. It boogles my mind why they teamed up with BigCat Rescue and WildCat Sanctuary to ban hybrid cats in varies states. If they are concerned for animals rights, why would they work in tangent with either of these sanctuaries? BCR feeds live domesticated rabbits to bobcats they are being rehabilitating to release into the wild. This is not necessary, and most rrehabilitation wildlife center choose not to use live prey. Not to mention that horses were being abused right next door and nobody at BCR reported this to any animal welfare agencies. Both BCR and WCDS have been charged with animal neglect and enclosure violations, and accused of using donations for their personal use. The founder of WCS used donations to take her husband sky diving and bought sexy underwear, also took her family on vacation. Does this sound like agencies concerned about animal welfare?

This petition that these welfare agencies are proposing is basically to confiscate all early generation hybrid cats under third generation. Either these cats will be euthanized or taken to sanctuaries to live out their lives with lions, tigers, and other wild animals. It does not matter that these cats are beloved pets, and are well cared for by their owners. Mind you, these cats were purchased, adopted or rescued legally and these animal welfare want to retroactively make them illegal. If you do not have papers on your hybrid, such as you found one and opened your home to one of these cats, it will be taken and euthanized.

This is not animal welfare, but genocide of a cat breed! This petition is based on lies, propaganda, and hate for these cats! These are house cats and have the same type of problems that other cats have. The only difference, is they are more active and smarter. I think it is disgusting to villianize not only hybrid breeds, but responsible owners and breeders! I think that in this issue they are wrong and morally disguesting and it sickens me that this group can say they love and are concerned for animals while working with sanctuaries that are unethical, and support a ban that will lead to massive killings of this breed! Shame on you!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Work with ethical groups and sanctuaries, and do not support legislation which leads to the mass killings of a breed. Do not support bans on animals that are biast, opinion based with no scientific based origins, and hate fueled. Stay away from organizations which choose to abuse animals,
