Review for Sierra Pacific Great Pyrenees Clu, Granite Bay, CA, USA
This organization takes in Great Pyrenees dogs and mixed GP dogs. These dogs come in from City and County kill shelters, owner turn-ins, abused, abandoned and/or unwanted animals find there way here. Each dog taken into the program is spayed/neutered, brought current on vaccines, tested for parasites/worms and heartworm disease. They are micro chipped and restored to health before being rehomed to pre-screened, pre-qualified families. A questionnaire must be filled out providing 3 references and home studies and contracts are done in the best interest of the dogs. New adoptees are given a free one year membership to the club and resources are provided through that membership, however, whether the membership is kept in force annually, this organization is a resource to the new owners for the life of the dog a most valuable component for success.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
do a volunteer campaign. Volunteers are needed to help with the work of rescue dogs at the facility and volunteers for fundraising activities. Veterinary expenses are off the chart with the number of dogs coming into rescue that are sick or ill from either being abandoned, surrendered by irresponsible dog owners, or dogs that are at city and county shelters that come into the rescue program.
