Review for Richmond Goodwill Industries, Inc., Richmond, VA, USA
Goodwill helped me get back on track after being released from the state penitentiary. Through Goodwill's Community Employment Center, I was able to access valuable job seeking services and counseling. I attended their Re-entry Workshop which gave me excellent advice and also provided me with professional interview attire -- a suit, 2 ties, shoes and a belt. I began interviewing and landed a part-time job in the restaurant industry. Like Goodwill suggested, I looked for opportunities to do more in my job, started doing those things, and was offered full-time employment shortly after joining the company. Now, I tell everyone about Goodwill and its Community Employment Centers. They helped me so much in the next steps of my life.
