Review for House Of Help, Hempstead, TX, USA
House of Help is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) Community Ministry run totally by Volunteers; no paid staff. We are Neighbors assisting our neighbors who live within the Hempstead ISD boundaries. We serve as a Food Pantry, Thrift Shop and Resource Center for those in need or going through a crisis situation.
Monetary and Donations of clothing, house hold and other items to our Thrift Shop make it possible for us to use the proceeds to purchase food for our Pantry. We NEED Volunteers. Pay 0 - Benefits Heavenly.
We work with other local non-profit organizations to meet the different needs of our Community such as Focusing Families, local Churches, Schools, and American Red Cross, In December we function as a "Toys For Tots" distribution center and assist parents with the Christmas needs of their children. If there is a need and we have it, we assist with clothing, bedding, furniture, personal items, pet food and Ensure or the generic brand for those undergoing cancer treatments.
