Review for Tibet Aid, Woodstock, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am generally reluctant to donate to charities given that they can be quite generous in giving to themselves in the form of executive salaries. At Tibet aid 100%, i.e. all of the money that I donate, goes directly to the person of my choice, either in Tibet or in exile (i.e. India). While donations to support the office are encouraged, they are not mandatory. There are no obnoxious and wasteful glossy mailers with gimmicky inserts, just direct support at, I must say, rock bottom prices. $20 will support a fellow human for a month who might otherwise suffer. That's why I like Tibetaid with no reservations.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

getting mail from some of the students I sponsor. Education makes a difference!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that I know my contribution is put to use for the purpose I intended. There is no ideological agenda, except helping.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated and smart.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

save a lot more Tibetans and keep this culture alive!

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Donor & donate, interact with the staff on ongoing projects.
