I see a few 5-star reviews here, and several of them seem to be saying that detractors do not know the whole story. One item of the supposed "whole story" seems to be that Veronica homed Piper with this Columbus home in December 2013, not April 2014. I do not know when Piper went to Columbus, but that has NO bearing on Veronica's ownership of the dog. As a dog owner, she (or any dog owner) may take a dog to live at another home for various reasons. It is no business of anyone else. I don't forfeit my ownership rights to my dog because I take her to live elsewhere, with a friend or a stranger. Also, even if she had transferred ownership of the dog, she would still be fulfilling ethical breeding guidelines by taking responsibility for the dog. Responsible breeders will take responsibility for a dog for the life of the dog, and this position is stated in many breeders' contracts and is recommended by many breed organizations. The director is welcome to publish the whole story on her website any time so everyone will know it. The letter from May by her attorney is not the whole story. (FYI, I am a board member of a purebreed rescue.)
