My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for International Fund for Animal Welfare, Inc., Yarmouth Port, MA, USA
I appreciate the efforts that highlight individual species that are threatened. However, I tend to support efforts to set aside habitat rather than individual species. Warm fuzzy creatures are cute, but organisms that are less visually appealing lose out. Saving habitat protects more of the unseen organisms. Cries of "Save the whale" or "Save the wolf" may draw attention to the organism, but saving habitat benefits them more, as well as benefiting many other species in the ecosystem. I support the IFAW for their work during crises and disasters. That is when individual animals need immediate attention.
