My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue Inc, Columbus, OH, USA
This so-called 'rescue' is doing everything it possibly can NOT to reunite an owner with her dog, one that the owner has proven ownership of and a court order has been issued to the rescue to return the dog to the rightful owner. Instead the director of COSR digs in her heels and posts a 10K bond to hang onto the dog. For what purpose?? And what does this say about how money being donated to this 'charity' is being used? The only good thing from this is it has opened my eyes to the tactics of these rogue rescues which unfortunately are becoming more and more common. I only hope this sad case will serve to inform the public as well as to what really happens with some of these rescues.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Lose the director and make the mission to actually rescue dogs that need it and if the situation arises, return them to the rightful owners when located within a reasonable time period, i.e. not less than a day as in the case here.
