Review for Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue Inc, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I have been in rescue over a decade and have seen the darkest side of humanity and the brightest side of humanity. With that being said, it saddens me to see the dark side popping up in rescues but sadly that is a reality. COSR supporters continue to state there are two sides to every story. Well in this case the side we are seeing is, by no fault of the owner, nor Piper this situation has occurred. Ownership of Piper was proven over and over again. Any reputable rescue who knew the dog was not going back to an abusive or neglectful home would have returned the dog with joy. That is the goal of rescue to help those in need and, this is a dog that clearly had a home and regardless of the legalities early on once ownership was proven there is not one reason that COSR should have kept Piper. Morally that is the right thing to do and this will surely taint this rescue and all the good they have dine in the past. There will always be supporters of COSR but I for one will not be one of them. Being in rescue we fight the fight everyday withing the ranks of rescue and in saving animals. When one of our own acts in such a despicable manner it hurts all rescues trying to fight the endless fight of saving dogs. What where COSR's motives for keeping Piper? That to me is the real question. Is it worth damning your rescue to the public eye? All COSR has done is put all of their rescue efforts into question.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Replace the director whose actions are clearly immoral at this point.
