I adopted my first bird from Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue over ten years ago. From the very beginning I was extremely impressed with their thoroughness and the steps I had to take before adoption. Everything I know about birds now, and share with others, I learned through Mickaboo! The volunteers are SO dedicated - some have been there for many years, though thick and a lot of thin. That says a lot about a group - that there are long-term volunteers in the organization. I feel assured that the majority of the money donated is going straight to the birds - there is very little overhead at Mickaboo because it consists of a network of volunteers working out of their homes.
