Review for Stone House, Roxbury, MA, USA
I write as a donor, and as a long-term volunteer for their primary fundraising event, Wilderness Heals. Over time, I have seen the event evolve to improve participant training and safety, and incorporate and adapt to new modes of publicity and communication. I will let other, better qualified, reviewers speak to the effectiveness of their programming, but as an agency they have been open, transparent and responsive. They treat me like a valued part of their community, and not just an ATM or a moving, replaceable part.
Review for Stone House, Roxbury, MA, USA
I write this review as a donor, and long-time volunteer (I've participated in, and helped organize their annual fundraising hike, Wilderness Heals, for about 15 years). Their staff have always been responsive to input and concerns, yet at the same time maintain healthy limits and boundaries around their critical program work. The Stone House keeps their focus on their mission, and on the needs of the communities they serve.
