Review for Hearts That Purr Feline Guardians, Tucson, AZ, USA
I am a recent new volunteer at Hearts that Purr, having previously volunteered at another local no-kill shelter. The cats at Hearts that Purr, most of them seniors and some of them hospice, are lucky cats indeed! They are marvelously cared for and doted upon by everyone, and they respond by being well socialized and comfortable with the caregivers. Their environment is peaceful, home-like, well monitored, and clean. Their medical care is also meticulously managed so that any symptoms they might have are minimized. Since spending time at this facility, I have become acutely aware of the need to see that our animal families are planned for and provided for in the event that something unexpected happens, as I can imagine how my own cats would respond to being suddenly without me or their familiar home. I look forward to spending many happy hours with the "cat family" at Hearts that Purr!
Review for The Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter & Sanctuary , Tucson, AZ, USA
I volunteer at the Hermitage as much for myself as for the cats, and I know that their care and lives count to every employee there! Because this is a no-kill facility, all of the cats (including special needs cats) will have a home there for the rest of their lives if necessary. As human beings I think we will be judged by how we care for our animals (among other things), and the Hermitage is an excellent example of that. It is also fun to share in the joy of adoptions of both the adult cats and the delightful kittens, knowing that they will become members of a new family.
