Review for Avian Haven, Freedom, ME, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This organization is making great strides in providing care and essential services to birds. They have grown from a small organization serving initially several hundred birds to a wonderful provider for thousands of injured and sick birds. I look forward to,reading their updates on the birds in their care. In rural areas of Maine, they provide an essential service.

As is the case for many non profits, they have to rely on financial and volunteer support to be able to provide the care they provide.

I am learning so much from the daily and weekly posting about the avian world and the efforts we can all put forward to make our world a safer and healthier one for birds. I have tremendous respect for the high level of skill and talent the staff and volunteers demonstrate. They are making a difference to these beautiful creatures and giving us all a greater understanding of the world of the birds in their care.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I can't suggest any changes to their work but wish more people would donate to this organization. Our feathered friends need to continue to receive the essential life saving services Avian Haven provides,

Review for Saving Our Avian Resources S O A R, Dedham, IA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been following the Decorah Eagles for this past year and learned about SOAR thru their efforts to help one of the juvenile eagles when it's wing broke. I have been amazed at the commitment level to,these beautiful raptors. This organization goes the distance to not only keep members informed about the progress of the raptors in their care but to educate us along the way. I look forward to,their daily updates and have learned so much about the avian world. I am currently in the northeast portion of our country(Maine) but at times feel as though I am on site watching these beautiful raptors because of Soars ability to keep us informed. Their staff and volunteers are so committed to saving the lives of the birds in their care. I can't begin to express how much respect I have for them. They are remarkable, talented people.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Any non profit providing the services they provide could use additional money to support their efforts. It would be my hope that more donations would flow into this agency to ensure they are able to continue to serve injured birds and educate people about changes we could make to make the world a safer place for our avian friend.
