We're a foundation that funds humanitarian projects. GHI's work in Sumatra after the Tsunami was remarkable! They assembled an impressive, yet cost effective multidisciplinary team that first established meaningful relationships with locals, and then addressed the heart of the matter. Regardless of infrastructure improvements, many coastal communities have insufficient time to outrun tsunami forces. Their work in providing vertical evacuation structures will not only save lives in this area but in any area where threat and distance are insurmountable.
Their reports were thorough, complete in all details and a pleasure to read.
