Review for Wounded Warrior Project, Jacksonville, FL, USA
I decided to attend college online, and did so without disclosing my medical disabilities because probably like you, I thought I can do it and don't want that label. Well, shortly after I realized the stress and anxiety was just too much for me. I am sad to say I quit. I immediately paid the fee and that was that.
Later that wk I ran into a wounded warrior rep (Randy Plunkett). I mentioned in passing my goals and so on and we got to talking about school. I explained the circumstances unknowing that he could help. He informed me that he could possibly help and I thought "nah, its over and done with and so on".. But I gave him the info he needed. well, I was wrong. Mr. Plunkett contacted my school and within a wk I received a full refund and the changed my status at the school.
I realize now that I need the time, and help. I am not happy about it by any means, but I am very thankful the WWP and specifically Mr. Plunkett are here and able to assist the rest of us who are facing difficulties after returning from combat. Please know that you're not alone and others are willing to help, but you have to ask and speak up. Thank you Mr. Plunkett, because of you I will attend school again, I will utilize the accommodations that are available and I will graduate!
