Review for Voices of Survivors Foundation, Houston, TX, USA
After I was first diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia in 2000, I found myself looking for other survivors or for an organization that would give support and hope to cancer survivors. An organization that I found, and I have been working for as a volunteer, is the Canadian Cancer Society, especially being involved with the 'Survivors Tent', at the annual 'Relay for Life' events in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. Going on to Facebook has allowed me to connect with other survivors, and finding Mr Lynn Lane and his 'Voices of Survivors' was like a miracle. This has given me the opportunity to be able to read the stories of all the wonderful survivors, and it has given me strength and hope to carry on. As well, through the eye's of a survivor, I know that Mr Lane has given so many others, a 'Voice'.
