Review for South by Southeast Community Development, Inc., Houston, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The South By Southeast Community Development , Inc dba University Park Academy has graduated over 2,000 students since inception and first graduation January 2006. As a one of a kind Community Development High School students are expected to rebuild run down neighborhoods with the knowledge and skills of a combined community University High School and Business workforce. This School is a God Send for students flunking the TAKS ( Texas Assessment Knowledge and Skills) and students needing the hybrid homeschool/at school E Learning Lab Environment. The E Learning Lab is brainchild of Marvin C. Delaney CEO/President of the South by Southeast CDC. Call Marvin at 713-702-0319. Marvin is a delightful Community minded person focusing on the next generation emphasizing economics and the Nehemiah rebuilding the wall and the nation.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

watching graduates matriculate into college life and vocation life.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

include more hands on lab experience with community projects.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The many lives being touched.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Teachers, registrars, builders, and church people.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

open 20 more sites that would become self perpetuating CDC's.

Ways to make it better...

I had more money to give.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Money to continue the work.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This is the big one. This program of CDC high school should be spread across America.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

One time
