My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for SaveNature.org, San Francisco, CA, USA
SaveNature.Org is one of the most innovative grassroots conservation organizations ever created. As a former Zoo Education Director, I became involved with the organization over 20 years ago (when it was called the Center for Ecosystem Survival). We placed one of the Conservation Meters that Norm Gershenz had created to "collect change to make a change" near one of our exhibits. With the Conservation Meter our zoo was finally able to empower every one of our guests to take part in a collective global conservation effort. Every child who puts a nickel, dime or quarter in the meter is proud to know they are helping save species. The meter at just this zoo has raised tens of thousands of dollars over the years. The Insect Discovery Lab of SaveNature.Org is such an important traveling program to inspire conservation stewardship. I am proud to now be working more closely with SaveNature.Org by helping expand the Insect Discovery Lab, which is now available in Central Florida.

Secure more funding partners to provide the Insect Discovery Lab free of charge to many more schools in both California and Florida to inspire conservation through education.
