I've been involved in Womanspace for 8 years, the past 5 years on the board. This is a wonderful organization dedicated to the development of women, helping them to become fully realized in all their talents and significant contributors to the well being of the community. Arts and holistic health programs, personal development counseling, and social service outreach are only a sampling of the development opportunities made available at low or no cost. Situated on a beautiful campus in Rockford, IL, this center includes lush gardens maintained by volunteers, and one of the largest outdoor meditation labyrinth's in the country--also constructed and maintained by volunteers. The Glitzy Garage sale in early June or late May attracts more than 1,000 people and offers the community a wealth good quality goods and extremely low prices in this special recycling event.
