Review for Assistance League Of Orange Calif Inc, Orange, CA, USA
The Assistance League of Orange has enriched my life in many ways. When I joined eighteen years ago, I had recently retired from teaching after forty-five years and was looking for connections in my local community. I found so much more! There are so many ways to be involved with the organization that enrich my life and the lives of our members as well as those we help in the community.
My passion is helping to provide scholarships to amazing local high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship, leadership and service. It is a pleasure meeting them, knowing that we are helping them move ahead. We provide funds to about twenty student s each year.
As a former teacher, another project that is dear to my heart is “Links to Learning” which provides grants to local teachers for special projects that directly involve and benefit students in creative ways. It is rewarding to be involved in making those dreams come true.
Becoming a member is one of the best decisions I have made and I am proud to be a member.
Review for FRAXA Research Foundation, Newburyport, MA, USA
Watching the development, progress and accomplishments of this amazing organization has been very inspirational. Their efforts to involve the academic and research communities has been exceptional, bringing much progress. Their founders, parents of a Fragile X child, have accomplished a tremendous amount. Their support of families has meant a great deal to so many.
