Review for Horsepower Sanctuaries, Paso Robles, CA, USA
I have been volunteering for the past 5 years for Redwings. I've volunteered for a animal welfare organization in the past, but never have I seen such passion and love from the staff at Redwings, who don't look at it as a job but as a fulfillment. Many of the horses we have are very old and our hearts especially go out to them and we strive to make the horses as comfortable as possible. When one goes down, it's like we lost one of our kids. The dictionary defines GENUINE as "actually being what it seems or claims to be; real, sincere and frank". I find Redwings just that, and I am proud to be associated with this hard working organization.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
My favorite experience is our annual "Haunted Barn". This event requires hard working dedicated people to volunteer time and build a halloween maze to scare the daylights out of people. All of our profit goes to the horses.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
All Redwings staff and volunteers are dedicated and love what they do. As volunteer coordinator, I personally see the excitement and awe of new volunteers that meet and touch our horses. The staff is all about great training and compassion.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Offer more through our Helping Hooves program which helps people who are down on their luck and can't afford hay, supplies or medicine for a beloved horse. I think we could expand and have a vet certified clinic to offer special services.
