Review for The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Keenesburg, CO, USA
Lions, especially males, have touched me deep in my soul since I was a little girl. I heard about this place years ago but thought I would not be able to handle it emotionally. When 2 co-workers told me they volunteer there, and after some tears and some coaxing, I finally went by myself. I cried the tears I needed to cry, read a few stories but decided I already knew they had crappy lives before this place, and chose to watch the animals enjoy a true sanctuary. I also keep in mind what one co-worker says: "they're livin' the good life, now!" I have enjoyed going back with my niece, by myself again, and plan to go many more times. I want to adopt an animal through a monthly donation, hopefully a lion. Recently I heard Pat Craig tell the story how he got started - WOW. He has an amazing heart and hopefully more people can be educated to NOT use naturally wild animals for personal gain or satisfaction. Keep up the super work, W.A.S.!!!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I heard they have a new staff member with lots of experience (and hopefully love for animals) that can help bring more attention to the cause - yay!
