Review for The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Keenesburg, CO, USA
This sanctuary is amazing! The animals in their care are truly blessed to live where they do. Seeing the animals living in the habitats that are acres in size is an incredible experience. They get to roam freely, far from the fences, unlike so many animals in captivity, sadly. Unfortunate animals kept in zoos w/ barely any room to move is so sad. The viewing platforms are such a great way to view the animals while they seem blissfully unaware of the people above them. All of the animals appear to be well fed, loved and clearly very well cared for. If only every animal forced to live in captivity could live the way these animals do. The entire experience, from watching the animals from high above, to being able to experience them happily living their lives is one that I highly recommend. It is a great way to spend a couple of hours. I live in Castle Rock, which is just too far for me to travel consistently to volunteer, but I sure wish I could. I would love to be a part of such a positive organization.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Bigger enclosures for the smaller cats, Cougar, Leopard etc. I understand they cannot be out to roam like the bears and tigers due to them needing total enclosure, but bigger than what they have would be good for them. Especially the cougar, his enclosure is very small, no room to run or play at all.
