I've been visiting the Wild Animal Sanctuary here in Colorado for many years. I've watched them save many animals, build non-zoolike enclosures where these beautiful animals can live, unmolested and safe, following their rescues.
I don't believe in zoos; I do believe in sanctuaries, this one in particular. If you care that the organizations you donate to walk the walk, and don't just talk the talk, this is a place you should be looking at for maximum return on your compassionate dollar.
