K9s for Warriors was a life saver for my husband and our entire family. After many unsuccessful attempts to get help for his PTSD and TBI, I researched the idea of getting him a service dog. He was open to the idea, so he applied. Upon meeting Shari Duval and her staff, I knew we had taken the right path. My husband was placed with his service dog in June of 2012. From that day forward, we have seen much improvement in his ability to function in society on a day to say basis. While this success has not been without trials and tribulations, I can honestly say that K9s for Warriors has always been there to support him and indirectly myself. I have been lucky enough to also volunteer during events with K9s for Warriors and have never seen anything but the utmost professionalism and care for our wounded warriors both in the program and not yet involved. Please support this amazing organization and the work that they are doing for our nation's wounded warriors.
