I really should be able to check all the boxes for my role since I have been a client served, a volunteer and now am honored to be a Board Member. I am blessed to have adopted two Yorkies that FYR rescued from horrendous circumstances, nursed to health and rehomed with me. Barney was kept in a cage his whole life. He came to FYR nothing but skin and bones with severely infected teeth and those that weren't infected were cracked and worn down from trying to chew his way out of his cage. Sidecar was abused to the point of a severely fractured ankle which was not treated for well over a month. FYR took these dogs in, supplied the medical/surgical help that they needed. They gave them love and security and found them homes (with ME!) The adoption process is thorough because they match dogs with adopters who are willing and able to provide the best possible homes for their dogs. They have a 100% success rate. Some dogs may wait a little longer for that furever home, but are kept in foster homes and loved until the right people come along.

FYR has an incredible network of vets, transporters, adoption facilitators. At no time have I ever seen anything but the utmost concern for the dogs and their well being.

FYR also takes in dogs from Puppy Mill busts, hoarding situations and unscrupulous "rescue" groups.
I can't say enough about FYR and that's why I volunteer my time and my heart with them.
