Review for Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow, Inc., Brooklyn, NY, USA
Each semester OBT holds a Debate Day to showcase the skills that young people have obtained as a result of the Public Speaking and Communication Program, which is part of OBT's workforce training curriculum. Following is my reaction to one of these recent events: OBT’s Debate Day was amazing. I have observed youth initiatives all over New York City, but have rarely seen an event that demonstrated so well the innovation and effectiveness of a nonprofit program for youth. It was inspiring to watch the OBT trainees as they spoke so thoughtfully and eloquently. Their speech and debate skills, as well as their obviously hopeful outlook on life, showed the outstanding results made possible by the expertise of OBT teachers and staff. Congratulations!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Seeing how the lives of young people have been transformed. Trainees are often skeptical about OBT's strict rules. However, by the completion of their training, many express gratitude for the professional skills and new diretion in life they have obtained
