Review for Wounded Warrior Project, Jacksonville, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am a Disabled U.S. Army Veteran and found my way to WWP while searching for employment. What I found was so much more. Having been in the military, a Police Officer and College Grad I was always focused on the task at hand. After my injury I was forced to seek a new career, it was not easy. Over three years of being unemployed and rejection letters I got pretty low on confidence and self esteem. I applied for a job that was a collaboration between Atlanta PD and WWP. While waiting I attended a couple of WWP events and was surrounded by the biggest and best support group I had seen since my Army days. I started to network and get up off the sofa; my confidence was given new life and I now have a great job with a bright future. On June 3, 2014, I attended the Atlanta Dream vs LA Sparks game an it was the greatest way to celebrate my new job. I felt really proud and special being escorted through to Arena to of the Party rooms!! The camaraderie, the food, Arena Staff and WWP Staff were truly amazing. I cannot wait for the next event and when they come back to Philips Arena I am in!!!! Thanks so much
