Review for Hutchison School, Memphis, TN, USA

This private girl’s school is financially mismanaged. The experienced staff is routinely abused by a Head of school who is incompetent and extremely volatile. Faculty and staff fear for their jobs, students are unhappy, there is little diversity; and parents of students prefer to keep the school not as an institution for learning, but rather social advancement. Further the Head of school is grossly overpaid, especially in comparison with the salaries of leaders of leading academic institutions in the region. DO NOT Donate.

Role:  Professional with expertise in this field & teacher, educator, mentor, grant writer, sponsor, volunteer in the library and many other assignments over the course of many, many years. Now an outside observer and advocate for excellence in education in the the region and elswhere, particularly in con.
