Review for Dogs Unlimited Rescue, Solon, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I adopted my wonderful Border Collie mix, Jessie, 10 years ago! I have always adopted rescue dogs, and I was so impressed by the care, thoroughness, and thoughtfulness of Dogs Unlimited Rescue staff that I decided to volunteer for this organization as well. For ten years, I have been so grateful for my wonderful Jessie and have been impressed over and over again by the dedication and expertise of the staff and volunteers. The dogs are cared for in loving foster homes, which is such a bonus for prospective adopters, as they get to know a lot about how the dog interacts in "normal life" as opposed to a kennel environment. This is a fantastic organization !

I adopted from Dogs Unlimited Rescue 5 years ago, and was so impressed with the rescue that I began volunteering for them. I am astounded at this very unfortunate and very negative review! And the timing makes it all the more laughable....since Marcy JUST DROVE 20 HOURS TO NORTH CAROLINA AND BACK to rescue a mama and her day-old pups. I have never met anyone who is so dedicated to the rescue, care, and rehabilitation of puppies and dogs in need.
This is not a "shelter." All of the dogs are cared for in loving homes and are given the most careful and high level medical care, food, environment, and love. The executive director makes sure of that! Her dedication and generosity are also unimaginable. I am sorry that this "reviewer" felt the need to post things that are not true and not in any way reflective of this wonderful organization.

Over three years ago, we adopted an amazing border collie mix, Jasmine (now Jessie) from Dogs Unlimited Rescue. I saw her photo on petfinder and knew that she was my dog! :) That led me to Dogs Unlimited. Jessie had been rescued from a hoarding situation, and was one of 80 animals living in and outside of the owner's home. I found Gina to be incredibly helpful, knowledgable, and accessible. In the first weeks after the adoption, she was available to help in any way I would have needed, and to this day I can always share with Gina my joys and stories about Jessie. I was so impressed with Dogs Unlimited, their professionalism and commitment, that I became a volunteer soon after. It continues to be delightful and meaningful to help others find their new furry family members.
