Review for Dogs Unlimited Rescue, Solon, OH, USA
I learned about Dogs Unlimited Rescue after watching a local news story about 2 abandoned dogs left at a vacant house to die in 2011. Beemer was found in the attic tied up and Will was chained up outside. Both dogs were starving and in horrible condition. DUR rescued these animals. I made a donation to help their cause and received a thoughtful thank you card with Beemer's picture. I began following the rescue on their website & Facebook and learned about the quality of life, love and second chances they provide dogs in finding their furever homes. A few months later, I began an adoption process with one of the dogs I fell in love with on their website. I liked their process; I could tell they truly were concerned about the care and kind of home these dogs go to - they want the right fit. I also like the Vet they chose to initially care for the dogs - I used to take my own animals to him many yrs. ago and he's excellent. After an application with references and 2 home visits, I adopted Sampson. One of the best decisions I've ever made. A few months ago, I became a volunteer. While I haven't fostered any dogs yet, I've met some of the other fosters and everyone is great. I volunteered at a Pet People function and passed out flyers for a lost dog. I highly recommend this credible organization as all of the proceeds go towards the dogs - it's well managed and they truly care about the welfare of the animals!
