Review for Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue Inc, Columbus, OH, USA
This so called rescue is the worst excuse of a rescue that I've ever seen. The director thinks she is God and is the only person who can judge if a person is fit to own a dog. She recently got a dog from Franklin Co. shelter that had gotten loose from it's co-owner while the owner was at the sheltie nationals. The day after the rescue got the dog, the owner contacted Penny (the director) to tell her it was her dog, and had all the proof needed to back that up. To this day, Penny (the director) has not returned the dog to it's owner. Part of her mission is "to help reunite lost dogs with their owners". This is a LIE! Her only goal is to get dogs and "sell" them to the highest bidder. A beautiful, young finished Champion show dog like Piper will bring her HUNDREDS of dollars in so called "adoption" fees. And if by chance you do deal with this rescue, be sure to thoroughly read the contract. Notice that there is a clause in there that states that even though you have paid an "adoption fee" to "adopt" a dog, she retains sole ownership of said dog and can come to your home at any time and for any reason take that dog back. YOU WILL NOT OWN THE DOG YOU THINK YOU ARE ADOPTING!She has no morals or ethics, if she did she would have returned the dog to her owner by now. I seriously urge you to NOT use this rescue because you don't know if the dog you want to adopt is the pet of someone who is grieving over it's loss.
