Review for Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue Inc, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 1 stars

This organization is "rescue" in name only. The Sheltie "Piper" is the property of a woman who has had her from birth (she whelped her) and this "rescue" organization has taken it upon themselves to KEEP the dog because "they know what's best for it." Seriously? I always thought the reason for rescue organizations was to (a) find the owner or (b) if the owner did not want the dog (or was abusing it), the dog would be re-homed. The owner HAS been found, the owner LOVES her dog, and this two-legged "creature" at the rescue organization REFUSES to return her. Also, the statements about "eating puppies" is disgusting and deceitful (and a total falsehood!). Is the next allegation going to be that "little green men from Mars" are the reason she's not being returned to her owner? This gives ALL shelters and rescue organizations a BAD name. RETURN "Piper" to her owner NOW and what you call a "smear" campaign will end! Also, please think of what "Piper" is going through (yes, dogs have feelings too!). Scared, unaware of her surroundings, wanting to go home - these are probably just a few things that she's experiencing! Stop being SELFISH - suck it up and go on rescuing dogs - just NOT Piper (who has a home and people who love her!).

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Close it until "Piper" is reunited with her family.
