Review for Central Ohio Sheltie Rescue Inc, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 1 stars

I continue to be very disappointed in this group. This is just plain wrong! Please return this dog. Please enter into negotiations with a heart of love and solutions! This has gone far enough! The sheltie community is divided, breeders and rescue are pointing fingers at each other... there is a general feeling of distrust as a result of this situation. Please be part of this solution, please think of what this is doing to the sheltie world. She will not be treated poorly if she goes back, she will be loved and kept forever... make this part of your request... make it a request that all parties come to a solution together... just fix this! Please!

Any dog that ends up in rescue no matter if a rescue believes they have ownership rights should be sent to the breeder or the breeder should be offered the dog. Responsible breeders take enough nastiness comments from the animal rights groups. They should take their dogs back and should be be given that opportunity. There is no reason as to not return this dog to her breeder. Rescue is about rescuing the dogs! When the breeder is willing to step up, they should be given that opportunity. When the breeder called the rescue the first time, the rescue should have immediately agreed to give the dog back! There has and is plenty of opportunity to STOP all of this and simply allow the dog to go back to the breeder. I wish there were so many people concerned about all the rescues out there with no people to love or care for them... spend half of the efforts spent on this one dog and you would have a ton of energies to focus... there would be homes for many other dogs. Really? this is silly.... let the dog go, you will be praised and there are plenty of offers to help you with other things... let the dog go back and put an end to this issue.... Both parties will spend a fortune... attorneys will make most of that, and all for what? to fight over a dog that has a home? that the breeder, a responsible breeder is willing to take responsibility for???
