Mylestone is an exemplary organization that not only helps horses in need, they help other rescues to help them. Their impact on the rescue community is substantial. They not only provide excellent care for their rescued horses, they serve as a shining example to other organizations. of what an ethical, compassionate rescue looks like. The equine rescue community is facing some tough times, and there are plenty of sketchy folks out there making money on homeless animals. It can be a demoralizing place. So I am deeply grateful to Mylestone for reminding us all that there are still good people in the world doing good things. On behalf of everyone you have helped, thank you.

As a neighboring rescue, we have worked with Rabiah and Blue Horse Mukwa for many years. This is a top notch organization that provides loving care and compassion for the many animals that call Blue Horse Mukwa home. It is Verified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. The facility is beautifully maintained and the animals are provided with diets and medications tailored to their individual needs. Rabiah’s generous spirit extends beyond her animals to other rescue organizations, and she is always the first to offer assistance to whoever needs an extra set of caring hands. She is a genuine asset to Virginia’s equine rescue community, supporting both the animals and the other groups and individuals trying to help them. We could not recommend this organization more highly.

We have known Rabiah and Blue Horse Mukwa for over twelve years. Throughout that time, Rabiah has worked tirelessly to provide homes for animals discarded by others, or for whom no other safe haven was available. Blue Horse has been Verified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries and this is a well-deserved credential. Here, animals receive meticulous care from conscientious volunteers. They are safely housed and handled, receive needed veterinary care and live the remainder of their lives at the Sanctuary. Rabiah is not only the rescuer of the horses in her care, she is also quick to offer assistance to neighboring rescues, serving as an additional resource to others who are trying to help save them. She is a credit to this community and we are happy to give this credit where it is due.
