Review for Fur Friends In Need Inc, Hazlet, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I personally volunteer for this group. This rescue is small BUT an amazing army of GREAT people who really care for the animals! From dogs to chickens, squirrels, rabbits, cats, parrots, we dont turn our back on any animal we are ABLE to help. I also adopted my dog Reggie from Fur Friends In Need. I couldnt be happier with the process or outcome. Reggie was sitting in a very high kill shelter in Brooklyn NY and at risk of being put down at 4 months of age. Due to having kennel cough. The thing that amazes me the most about this rescue is we do not let distance get in the way if we are able to help. We have helped many dogs from the Bahamas and Puerto Rico- There is very limited rescue efforts in these places and these street dogs have a 10% chance of survival. We believe rescue has no boundaries. A life is a life! Who is to say which are more important. We also pull many dogs(esp pit bulls) and cats from the NYACC which is 3 very high kill shelters. We love our deathrow dogs and cats. Many of them are pulled while they are on the "list" To those who dont know the "list" is made every night of which dogs and cats will be put down the next day. Most of the time due to kennel cough.. A lot of these dogs get very good behavior assesments at the shelter but that wont save their lives. We also take in many owner surrenders before they are dumped into a shelter. Im very happy to be a part of this group, esp. after i was a foster for a very very horrible rescue. Which no longer is a rescue due to court charges thankfully.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

None to the organization its self but i would love to see more foster homes step up so we can help more aniamls in need!
