Good Afternoon, I recently adopted a dog from this rescue and had to return her the very next day. The dog had fleas and bloody stool. At times she would defecate blood and mucus mixed. Upon returning the dog and explaining these problems to the employees of this rescue I was told that she didn't have fleas, but when a younger volunteer checked the dog with the flea comb she found a flea & a flea egg. I was then told, "It’s just one flea". An employee instructed a young lady to take a picture of the dog and the very next day she was listed again on Petfinder. (With the collar I bought for her on) My home now has to be exterminated despite vacuuming and washing all of the linens.
I requested a refund, left many messages requesting to have the director give me a call, sent emails with pictures of flea bites, and even faxed a formal compliant letter. I have yet to get the results of my refund request. I even called to make sure the dog was ok; I received no information on the fecal results or flea issue. I would not recommend this rescue to anyone. Once I posted this HONEST account of my experiences they blocked me from there Facebook page.
