The people who run MIRA USA are remarkable. The President is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable about disabilities including blindness. She is kind and caring and a font of knowledge and willing to help.
I have met several of the recipients of MIRA guide dogs and their reports are glowing about what this organization has done for them in providing these guide dogs free of charge to children across the United States.
I have worked with numerous organization that help people with disabilities and I can say from experience that this is a five star organization. They have caring, responsible, intelligent people at the helm, have secured the services of a psychiatric consultant to assist families and their outreach is extensive and excellent. Their donations DO definitely go to providing guide dogs to children. As a professional in the field of the visually impaired, I cannot speak more highly about their work. I also donate to this organization because you can see the direct results.
