Review for Family to Family Network, Houston, TX, USA
BEST THING IN TEXAS!!! F2F HELPED ME, A PROFESSIONAL SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER FROM OK., NAVIGATE THE TX SYSTEM TO EVENTUALLY HELP ME TO GET THE APPRPPRIATE SERVICES FOR MY DAUGHTER. SHE HAS SIGNIFICANT LEARNING DIDSABILITIES BUT HAS A GIFT WORKING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. HER GOAL: WORK AT A DAYCARE CENTER AND SOME DAY OWN HER OWN. THE OUTCOME WAS A SERIES OF CLASSES THAT ENABLED HER TO "WOW" POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS WITH HER RESUME! SHE WAS HIRED BY THE 2ND CHILDCARE COMPANY SHE INTERVIEWED WITH AND, NOW 8 YEARS LATER, 2009, SHE SEES HER DREAM AS A REALITY. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, F2F!!!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
learning the TX system of special education
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
It needs to expend in a timely fashion to help even more people in different localities w/i Houston.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The help, support & information provided that eventually launched my daughter's career.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Committed, knowledgable & totally dedicated due to their child's negative school district experiences due in part to their child[ren]'s disabilities.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
It could expand what it does best: empower parents to help their children who have disabilities!!!!!
Ways to make it better...
I truly cannot imagine it being better!!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Finances for service delivery, staffing and expansion of actual physical layout.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I hope that F2F never has to close its doors...it is too valuable and life changing for the parents which results in life changing outcomes for the children.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
