Diakonia Ministries has made an impact in the Homewood/Brushton Community. Among the many outreach ministries of Diakonia, one thing that they have done is taken a big step in reducing hunger in the neighbor. Each week residents of the community come for a well-prepared and delicious meal. They are also directed to resources that will aid them in their personal lives. The food pantry, another arm of Diakonia, has provided groceries for families with children in times of need. No gift is too small and all gifts are well spent.
