Review for Eagles Nest Ministries Of Conroe, Conroe, TX, USA
It is no secret that Eagles Nest Ministries is in the trenches. Pastor Jeff Williams leadership and congregation continue to address the physical and spiritual needs of our community. ENM does this by creating an environment that focuses on biblical teaching and spiritual growth with the understanding that God has established two institutions for the salvation and well-being of man. These institutions are the church for our Spiritual needs and the home for the physical. By providing a "home" for the broken that includes spiritual direction and guidance, Eagles Nest becomes a "safe place" for acceptance and healing.
Review for Emergency Ministries, Spring, TX, USA
Emergency Ministries has blessed our community with assistance to our firefighters, police officers, paramedics, emergency room staff doctors/nurses and countless family members of these individuals by providing time and resources as needed. I have personally seen this organization spend hours upon hours meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs of men and women who witness horrific events every single day. These are men and women who have put their lives on the line in our community running toward danger as others are running in the opposite direction. Emergency Ministries does exactly what their mission statement states, "In the most critical time of need, they help you (meaning our first responder heroes), then we (EM Chaplains) help them. THANK YOU EM FOR ALL YOU DO!
Review for Back 2 Basics Ministry, The Woodlands, TX, USA
For the last 10 years, I have watched Back 2 Basics Ministry (B2B) reach out to children in group homes, shelters, residential treatment centers, foster homes, mental facilities and living on the streets in the Spring, Conroe, Woodlands and Greater Houston Texas areas. Before the sex trafficking bandwagon, the founder of B2B, Barbara (Humiston) Alpha, was tirelessly reaching out to youth who had been abused, abandoned and neglected by the people in their lives who should have been protecting them. Many of these youth feel unwanted and rejected. In some cases, they run away and become homeless or worse, back in the "trade" they know on the street in order to survive.
As children in these types of living situations are often shuffled from house to house, shelter to shelter and from group home to group home, it became imperative to expand the ministry beyond the Spring, Conroe, Woodlands and Greater Houston Areas to continue serving them in the state of Texas.
Back 2 Basics Ministry is deliberate in providing contact phone numbers and email addresses to these youth as to maintain open lines of communication with them. Often, B2B Ministry is the only contact information listed on a child’s paperwork. B2B becomes a “spiritual family,“ to provide consistent healthy, loving relationships with them. The ministry does this by doing fun activities with the youth such as family style sit-down meals, birthday parties, outings to the park, providing Christmas, Easter, Fourth of July events and taking them to the movies. This gives these youth, who have often never known a “no strings attached” relationship the opportunity to experience a healthy one and to simply have an opportunity to just “be a kid.”
There is no way I could go into all the detail of how this Ministry is benefiting the well-being, mental and emotional health of these children. I highly recommend taking a look at the website for more in depth details.
