My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for North Texas Food Bank, Plano, TX, USA
I've attended the North Texas Food Bank twice this year with two large groups. Both experiences have been so incredible! This facility is so well organized, and does a great job of communicating the needs, purpose, process and expectations to all volunteers before the work even begins! I have also enjoyed receiving informational material, promoting donation and service opportunities. Hunger is a growing problem, and the North Texas Food Bank is facing it head on! I look forward to my next opportunity to give the gift of service! In the meantime, I spread the word, and try to recruit help for the food bank as often as I can.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Knowing that I contributed to feeding nearly 3,000 children for a weekend.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Absolutely fabulous! Randy and Vince were incredibly entertaining, and kept all the volunteers motivated, reminding us what good we were doing for the children. They are clearly, loyal to their cause!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Get closer to CLOSING THE GAP ON HUNGER!!!
Ways to make it better...
More volunteers were there, and there was more food to sort and give to those who need it the most!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Donations!!! With this ever increasing need, the call for donations becomes more and more important. It's a prescious gift, whether it be a cash donation, where the food bank can exercise its buying power, or through food drive donations.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I can't wait to return to the North Texas Food Bank to gift my gift of time!!!
