Review for Pleasanton Heritage Association, Pleasanton, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This is an organization made up of historic home owners who realized that the city did not have language to protect historic property. This organization is made up of over 200 members and supporters, many of whom saw the loss of historic buildings and residences to development and demolition, forever lost to historic Pleasanton. The city council established a task force to clarify existing guidelines and to provide some assurances for residents that their neighborhoods would not be demolished to make way for oversized mansions, and that residents would have a voice, beyond the developers, in what they want their neighborhood to look like today and in the future. Thanks to our many members and supporters, the city has weighed in on how they want to preserve historic Pleasanton for future generations. The Pleasanton Heritage Association is made up of volunteers who do not stand to profit from developing properties but are a growing group of private citizens who want to take back their historic neighborhoods. Follow us on our Facebook Group page and at our website established to provide informative articles and recognition of owners for their wonderful preservation of buildings and residences in Pleasanton's historic neighborhoods.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Continue to work closely with all change agents within the city to inform, educate, and establish recognition for our wonderful historic buildings and homes that make Pleasanton such a desirable community in which to reside.
