Working with A Call To College was an amazing, transforming experience not only for the students I worked with, but also for me.
From 2011-12, I spent a year volunteering with ACTC's early awareness programming (PEAK- Providing Early Awareness and Knowledge) as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. Everyone I met and worked with in this organization was absolutely wonderful-- they are passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated to the students they work with. They keep the mission of the organization and the success of their students at the fore-front of everything they do.

The investment and programming A Call to College put's into educational access and success is aimed not just at helping the students in the the school system, but the entire community of Newark. From second grade through high school, ACTC is giving students the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to be successful not just in school, but for the rest of their lives. I am honored to have worked with such amazing people for such an inspired and inspiring cause!
