Review for Citymeals On Wheels, New York, NY, USA
I've worked with hundreds of nonprofits - both personally and professionally - and Citymeals-On-Wheels is by far one of my favorites. The staff with whom I have interacted is incredibly professional, organized and smart and the volunteer projects are highly impactful. As a member of the newly-formed Young Professionals' Committee, I feel like I have had the opportunity to "make a difference" in a number of ways, including participating on meal deliveries, attending fundraisers and making holiday cards for Citymeals' clients. The Committee has also given me the chance to meet new people and expand my network. I know that the financial support I've given to Citymeals has been money well spent and the time I've donated has been incredibly worthwhile.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
I couldn't narrow it down to one thing -- certainly feeding people is at the top of the list; but the opportunity to interact with a top-notch staff and other caring individuals has been great
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
incredible -- the staff is a pleasure to work with - they don't ask anything of volunteers they wouldn't do themselves and they are incredibly grateful for all contributions - both time & money
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
feed more people!
Ways to make it better...
I had started volunteering with them sooner
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Its hard to get "younger" people interested in this mission - not as "sexy" as some causes. No one likes to think about getting older and especially the concept of being alone and unable to care for yourself.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every month
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
