My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Society of St. Andrew, Big Island, VA, USA
We helped put on a fund-raiser for SOSA in our city. Our goal was really public awareness. Two different groups from our church went on gleaning trips. The SOSA staff worked hard alongside the volunteers, and kept us enthusiastic. We were amazed to see how much food could be gleaned in a short while! 17 volunteers + 2 staff gleaned almost 10,000 lbs of watermelons in just 3 hours! They have very little overhead, it's just all good!! Love it!!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
actually seeing the results (literally) of our (physical) labor...it was exciting to see all the food we gleaned, and think about the good it would do. I love that SOSA has little overhead, and the labor is all volun-teer. Great work for my kids, too!!
