Review for Maplewood Housing For The Visually Impaired, Chicago, IL, USA
I started volunteering at Friedman Place my sophomore year in 2011 for my school service hours. After I finished my service hours I did not come back until my senior year when I decided I wanted to get more involved, so the summer before my senior year began I decided to apply for a permanent volunteering position. Every Sunday (though I have not been good about coming every Sunday lately) I volunteer with Stacy. Coming here as made me a better person and has opened up my eyes. I love talking and getting to know the residents. They are such kind, caring people and each of them has a story to share. Friedman Place is a great place to volunteer if you love interacting with others and seeing people smile when you offer them something that is more special than anything, a friend.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I do not know if I would make any changes to the organization. I think, if anything, I would suggest more activities that the residents would like to do, but I think the organization is already great about making the residents happy!
