My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for PathForward, Inc (formerly A-SPAN), Arlington, VA, USA
I was part of a church group that contacted A-SPAN about the possibility of a group service project at their winter shelter. A-SPAN welcomed our efforts with open arms. There volunteer coordinator was helpful and communicative with the type of project that would be useful to them. A group of about 12 of us helped to organize their clothing donations and helped deep clean shelter beds. A second time, after discussing this during our first project, we had our youth group decorate the shelter for the holidays. Each time the staff of A-SPAN made it very easy for us to help out. Gave us all the information we needed and worked with us to be available during the time that we wanted to provide the service. It all went very smoothly and A-SPAN was very appreciative of our efforts. We were welcomed and thanked which made us want to continue to help out when possible. A-SPAN was very good at forming a connection with us.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
were dedicated and motivated. They were appreciative of any support provided and happy to receive help as they see any help they get as assistance for their clients.
