Review for Childrens Health Council Inc, Palo Alto, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am a former board member who served nine years with this wonderful organization and watched it grow into an exceptionally well-run not-for-profit that is uniquely focused on serving the needs of the community around it. The culture starts with the agency's Executive Director, Rosalie Whitlock, who is as smart about the nuances and complexities of young children's issues as she is caring about the children and the families that she serves. Rosalie is the gold standard as it relates to children's emotional health and she takes very seriously the agency's mission to provide families with answers to problems that can, at times, seem insurmountable. She enables an environment with her direct reports whereby entrepreneurship is valued and rewarded -- and so that the people on her team feel empowered and appreciated for doing what is necessary to provide much needed value to the families who walk through the agency's front doors. As a former member of the Board's Finance Committee, I can attest to the financial stability of the organization and the fact that never before has the agency's finances been in such good shape. It's so comforting to know that the executive leadership of CHC has created a dynamic whereby the goals of the agency can be supported by a thriving balance sheet and very impressive fiscal responsibility -- both of which should endure for many years to come. My heartfelt congratulations to everyone who has contributed to making CHC such an important part of our community and to leading so many children and families to a better place.
