Review for Mane in Heaven, , , USA
My two teenaged daughters and I started volunteering with Mane in Heaven in April 2013. What started out as a way to work with some cute, little horses turned into so much more. This has been a fantastic way for the 3 of us to volunteer together. We've definitely found our volunteer niche. We all love spending time with the minis and seeing the joy they bring to children, veterans, elderly, mentally or physically disabled, those hospitalized, in rehab facilities, anyone that needs a little sunshine in their life. My girls & I have seen what a miracle they can be. They've witnessed residents at nursing homes that "never come out of their room" line up to see them. Patients with limited mobility or debilitating arthritis reach out to touch and stroke the minis. It's hard not to get choked up every time we go on a visit when we witness the impact they have on peoples' lives. I can't imagine our life without them.
